The Liberal Democrat - led campaign to save the public toilets in Kenilworth Cemetery from closure has been successful.
Warwick District Council Executive agreed at its meeting on Monday 5th April to keep open three cemetery toilets, including that in Kenilworth, and to include them in a three-year programme of capital investment to refurbish and upgrade facilities.
Councillor Ann Blacklock (Abbey) said:
"I am delighted with the decision taken by the Executive, which shows that they have listened to people's views. I would like to thank everyone who has lent their support to the campaign to keep the cemetery toilets open. These facilities benefit both local people and visitors coming to pay their respects to loved ones, and it is wonderful that we can now guarantee their future."
