Councillor Dave Shilton
The long campaign by Liberal Democrat councillors and local residents for a pedestrian crossing in busy Dalehouse Lane, Kenilworth, has finally ended in victory.
Warwickshire County Council has included the work in this year's "Safer Routes to School" budget plans, and work should commence this September.
Lib Dem ward councillor Dave Shilton said:
"After long campaigning we are definitely going to have a new puffin crossing in Dalehouse Lane, which will become a much safer place at busy times. I am over the moon. Parents can let children walk to school now. This shows that people power and sheer persistence does pay off."
Another example for Park Hill residents of how Liberal Democrat councillors get things done!
