Liberal Democrats Push Green Agenda in Kenilworth

Liberal Democrat Councillor Ann Blacklock (Kenilworth Abbey Ward) has put forward the following motion to the next meeting of Kenilworth Town Council on 26th August 2004:

"This Council believes the proposed "Civic Centre", irrespective of size, location or appearance, should be an environmentally friendly building.

"Green" principles should be paramount in the design, construction and functioning of the new facility. This would include using materials from sustainable sources and running on renewable energy.

We need to ensure this principle is accepted by all the stakeholders and all the design team."
