Lib Dems Act On Speed Concerns

Following up on issues raised during a house-to-house survey in the area last week, Councillor Dave Shilton (Lib Dem, Kenilworth Park Hill & Stoneleigh) has obtained agreement from the County Council to install speed detectors and vehicle counters in Dencer Drive and
Rawnsley Drive, Kenilworth.
A temporary flashing 'Speedvisor' is also planned, but its location must be agreed by Kenilworth Town Council.
Dave said "This issue was raised by several residents during our survey, and is a source of much concern. I view this period of monitoring as a vital, but only a first, step in a fight to rein back the speeders and win back the roads for local residents."
