Rugby Liberal Democrats are calling on Borough Council planners to adopt what is called the "Precautionary Method" when deciding on mobile phone mast applications.
Liberal Democrats Jerry Roodhouse & Richard Dodd will move a council motion that seeks action to be taken immediately.
"The Stewart report released a few months ago called on the Government's planning advice to beefed up in regard to adding extra weight to health and quality of life issues around the siting of mobile phone masts. To date the Government has not acted. As we see more and more masts being erected we need the council to act" stated Jerry Roodhouse.
