URGENT: Membership Renewal calls

Dear all,

we have currently had reports of several attempts to get members to renew their membership over the telephone using their Credit / Debit card details or to sign up to a direct debit scheme.

Please be very careful with these renewal calls as there is some doubt as to their authenticity

We are currently advising:

"All members NOT TO renew over the phone, but to renew through the local membership secretary as there is some doubt as to the authenticity of the calls"

If you DO receive one of these calls please could you inform the caller that you will renew locally to your local membership secretary, and then hang up. If you have the 1471 feature on your telephone then please call 1471 immediately after the call and make a note of the callers number. Then please let us know to info@rugbylibdems.org.uk. The membership Secretary can be contacted via MemSec@rugbylibdems.org.uk
