Lib Dems launch Hospital Watch for St Cross
Following the recent stories in both the national and local press and the rumours about St Cross hospital along with the concerns raised by local residents directly with Liberal Democrat Councillors.
Rugby Liberal Democrats have decided at a local party meeting held Thursday evening 23rd August that they would establish a St Cross hospital watch, its aim is to capture information and help collate together the local concerns and factual evidence of any service reductions and or changes that may be taking place. This will then form part of a feedback to the hospital trust directly.
Rugby Liberal Democrats have chose the following to act as local coordinators
• Ted Pallot past Chairman of Rugby PCT and long time campaigner for better health in the Rugby area, he has a good understanding of how the health service works and is fully committed to ensuring that St Cross plays a full part in the provision of local health care.
• Cllr Jess Upstone Hillmorton Councillor and also a past nurse who trained at St Cross and also has a deep understanding of the local position regarding the provision of health care in Rugby.
• Cllr Gwen Hotten is a past parliamentary candidate and has a good understanding of local health needs especially with the most vulnerable as she has worked in the this area for some time
