The Liberal Democrats held a rally as part of the conference this evening, one of the stars of the show was Birmingham Perry Barr Parliamentary Candidate, Councillor Karen Hamilton.
The rally was addressed by Liberal Democrat Leader Nick Clegg, former Leader Charles Kennedy, TV personality and campaigner Floella Benjamin, and Parliamentary candidate for Birmingham Perry Barr, Councillor Karen Hamilton. Each set out their reasons why only the Liberal Democrats can deliver a different, better Britain.
Karen Hamilton told the conference how a desire to improve her local community inspired her to get involved. Since becoming a Councillor five years ago, she has already helped to make a difference in Birmingham.
Local Ladywood campaigner David Nikel said "Karen is a great ambassador for the West Midlands. I hope, and expect, her to be successful in the General Election and to become the next Member of Parliament for Birmingham Perry Barr."
