PPC for Rugby & Bulkington Jerry Roodhouse described the Council cuts to jobs as "Savage".
As reported in the local press, jobs and services could be cut by Warwickshire County Council to help the authority cope with an anticipated reduction in Labour Government funding.
The first draft of this year's budget will be debated this morning at Shire Hall. It will then be scrutinised by other Council committees and political groups before the final document is voted on in February.
Under the proposals council tax will increase by 2.5 per cent.
PPC for Rugby & Bulkington Jerry Roodhouse said in local press, "We can see some damage to front line services. There will be jobs going too, which is very sad. I've been through redundancy and I know how it feels." He went on to describe the cuts as savage.
