Jerry Roodhouse
Jerry is married, with two daughters and two grandchildren. Self-employed businessman - relaxes by Scuba diving, cooking, walking, and listening to opera. Has fought a number of general elections, and has built a wide range of experience, from fighting for better health care, to safeguarding the environment. Councillor on both Rugby Borough and Warwickshire County Councils. Elected 1989 and 1990: leads the Liberal Democrat group on both Councils. Has served on Cabinet and Scrutiny panels, and is presently chairman of Health Scrutiny for the County: has developed Scrutiny for Acute hospitals. For the Borough, developed a a new way of working. Chaired task groups - tends to specialise in Housing/Health related areas and working with the 3rd sector.
Budget and performance management is also an area of interest. At present is developing new work in Warwickshire around Community/Locality planning, and leadership in neighbourhoods.
