Kenilworth Castle Parking

12.00.00pm BST (GMT +0100) Mon 14th Aug 2006

Cllr Pat Ryan (Liberal Democrat, Kenilworth Abbey) has slammed the controlling Tory group on Kenilworth town council for not backing his proposal to oppose any parking charges for local residents at Kenilworth Castle.

"Parking charges go against the principle of free access to the Castle for local people", Pat says. "Under English Heritage's plans, their own members will pay less than local people with residents' passes."
