The chaos on the railways hit home when Jerry Roodhouse ended up taking his son in law to Leamington station so that he could get back to work following the new year break.

The story that his son in law passed on to Jerry just confirmed all the chaos stories. On arrival at Rugby Station there was no information telling you that the station was shut, the monitors still showed that the 6.04am train was running on time when it was not even coming to Rugby, commuters could find no one for some time to ask what was going on and when finally some one was brave enough to appear they could not answer simple questions about the coaches that will be used to take passengers to Northampton.

Jerry Roodhouse is calling for the inquiry to be public and went on to say that Network Rail has had months and months to plan this. It seems to be poor project management matched with poor management. Answers are needed and quickly.

Jerry is the leader of the Liberal Democrats on Rugby Council and also represents Eastlands and Hillmorton on Warwickshire County Council.
