About Craig

Craig McQueen has worked in Rugby for some years and moved to Balcombe Road to start a family with his partner Katie. When he's not running after his young daughter Erin, Craig is a keen Rugby fan, closely following both Rugby Lions and Northampton Saints. He is an experienced Financial Planner, previously working for Nationwide Building Society on Rugby High Street, he now runs his own business helping people to understand and improve their finances. He hopes that his level of economic and financial expertise can help inform Council policy making and planning.

Craig believes that engagement in the community should be at the heart of any political party. He is committed to working all the year round not just at election time and will keep residents informed through Focus leaflets. As a member of the Eastlands Focus Team, Craig already has a track record of local action campaigning against extra charges introduced by Rugby Borough Council for green waste services. Craig has also been working with Neil,Sue & Jerry on fighting for improvements to local play facilities.

One of Craig's major concerns is the overstretching of infrastructure due to the impact of new developments around the town. He has voiced concerns about the mast site development, calling for better public transport, improved pedestrian access and more cycle ways to help alleviate traffic volume and pollution levels. He has also raised concerns about the need for better planning around Schools and GP's practices in order to support the growth of the town.

Craig is willing to listen, take action and see things through. He will ensure that residents have a local champion with a strong voice to represent your views and make sure Eastlands is not left behind.
