About Hossain

Hossain Tafazzal is married with two children and four grandchildren, and works at Domino's Pizza in Rugby. Hossain moved to Rugby in 2010, and for the past four years has lived in Garyth Williams Close.

He is Vice President of the Coventry Bangladesh National Party, a former Secretary of the Bangladesh Cultural Association in Rugby, and is still a member of the Association's governing committee.

Hossain has a desire to be a councillor in Rugby so that he can work for local residents and communities and strengthen the Liberal Democrat group's voice on the council.

Hossain joined the Liberal Democrats because they strongly support Britain's membership of the European Union and they believe in improving educational opportunities; they want better access to primary health care such as GP surgeries; they oppose racism; they believe in protecting and encouraging small businesses.

Hossain first worked with the Liberal Democrats when assisting Phil Bennion in his attempt to get re-elected as a Member of the European Parliament for the West Midlands in 2015. Subsequently, he has also worked with the Rugby Liberal Democrats by delivering Focus newsletters and election information and attending their meetings. In particular, he has assisted Cllrs Marion Nash, Carie-Anne Dumbleton and Bill Lewis with their ward work.
