Lib Dems win Rokeby & Overslade by-election

Congratulations to Glenda Allanach who is the new Councillor for Rokeby & Overslade after winning the by-election for the Liberal Democrats on Thursday 22 August 2019.

Glenda lives in the ward and had been a local Councillor in Rugby back in 2000-2005.

She was the first black woman to be elected to Rugby Borough Council in 2000.

Glenda returns after a fourteen year break with a 56% share of the vote.

Well done and best wishes to Glenda who we know will be an Active, Caring and Effective Councillor for Rokeby & Overslade.

Conservative - 346 [20.2%]
Labour - 165 [9.6%]
Brexit - 163 [9.5%]
Green - 79 [4.6%]
Lib Dem hold.
Turnout - 28.9%.
