Regeneration of Biart Place is a window of opportunity

Liberal Democrat Councillors for Eastlands Ward Cllr Neil Sandison, Cllr Sue Roodhouse and Cllr Craig McQueen have supported the decision to demolish Biart Place.

Liberal Democrats believe this presents a great opportunity to bring forward quality housing for rent and allow the area to be regenerated.

The three local Councillors for Eastlands are working with Officers at Rugby Borough Council to ensure community consultation and engagement with local residents takes place.

The Council will have to borrow the money to replace the high rise blocks and the local Councillors are calling on the Government to support Rugby by giving it grant aid. We await the Government's decision.
