£200m for potholes

6 Apr 2014

Liberal Democrats in government are putting £200 million into fixing Britain's potholes.

With the economy now recovering, it cannot be put at risk by poor quality roads.

Cllr Jerry Roodhouse, Rugby Lib Dem Group Leader said:

"It's great that Lib Dems in government are giving local councils £200 million to help fix the country's potholes. It will make a real difference here in Rugby. Keeping our roads in good condition is important to keep building a stronger economy."

Right: Pothole on Bowen Road, Rugby.
