£700 tax cut promised...£800 TAX CUT DELIVERED

The Liberal Democrats in government are giving an £800 tax cut to 24 million people, by making sure no one pays any Income Tax on the first £10,500 they earn.

Cllr Jerry Roodhouse, Rugby Lib Dem Group Leader said:

"We have already delivered a £700 tax cut for 33,820 local workers as promised at the last election, but we wanted to go further. I am delighted that we have been able to increase that to £800, because it will really make a difference to local people. It's been a tough few years for residents across Rugby. Everyone has felt the pinch. I know from talking to local residents that this will help hard-working families."

The Liberal Democrats have now delivered an £800 tax cut. The Lib Dems went into government to fix Britain's economy that had been left in ruins by Labour.
