Another Proposed Development Off Ashlawn Road

26 Jun 2014

A proposal is being discussed to bring forward an outline planning application for residential development on land to the south of Ashlawn Road, between St Andrews Rugby Club and Ashlawn School.

The Company concerned are looking to deliver a high-quality residential development of around 80 new homes which will be accessed via Ashlawn Road. It states that in accordance with Rugby's policy, 40% of the dwellings (circa 30 dwellings) will be affordable housing to help meet the needs of local people. These affordable homes will range from 1 to 3 bed properties and split on a 75% social rented and 25% shared-ownership tenure as per the Council's request. The company had held initial pre-application meetings and discussions with Planning and Highways officers and are now ready to share their initial thoughts with the community.

Accordingly, to inform the design process, they will be hosting a public consultation event at St Andrews Rugby Club, Thursday 3rd July between 4pm and 8pm.
