Marion Nash, Rugby Borough Councillor for the Rokeby and Overslade Ward explains, 'I've just come out of hospital after undergoing an emergency operation.' 'Unfortunately, close family members are currently being cared for for much more complex and life threatening health issues.' 'We have all had the most amazing care and things could have been much worse for each one of us, if it hadn't been for the dedication and commitment of every layer of support in the NHS - BUT

Councillor Nash goes on, 'I say that with no pride or attachment whatsoever - they don't act in my name. But I do say this with pride. I am fiercely proud of the NHS. I have witnessed and benefited from the dedication of a very demoralised group of staff. I meet with local residents almost on a daily basis who are, or whose families are, benefiting from the same invaluable services. But we travel far and wide to use those services. In the past month I have spent two weeks in Walsgrave.' 'The week before, I was at Northampton to address MS symptoms.' 'Finally, I shall soon be able to attend my local hospital, St Cross, for a minor investigation.'

Councillor Nash stresses, 'Why are we running around different counties for NHS services that we could access locally before now?!' 'So many of the people in power don't need our NHS - they have private health care.' 'It's OUR NHS they are playing Russian roulette with and hold in contempt.' 'Be angry and outraged on behalf of yourself as the Government degrades and strips us of our NHS.' 'Be angry and outraged on behalf of the staff of the NHS.' 'The NHS is the biggest employer in the UK - so has the biggest demoralised employee group in the UK.' 'Be angry and outraged as a human being.' 'This is so wrong on so many levels.' 'We should all be out on the streets shouting the odds, telling Hunt where to stick his imposition.' 'Be angry! I am.'
