Cllr Bill Lewis makes his annual appeal for volunteer snow wardens

11 Dec 2014

Cllr Bill Lewis is making his annual appeal for volunteer snow wardens for the Rokeby & Overslade Ward. Snow wardens use salt provided by Warwickshire County Council to de-ice critical public footpaths, road junctions, steep roads and outside sheltered accommodation. They are alerted when the county council has received a forecast of severe cold weather.

Bill would like to hear from volunteers from all over the ward but in particular from volunteers living in the Hillary Road estate, Wordsworth Road, Macaulay Road, Southey Road, Boswell Road, Overslade Lane, Marlborough Road, Ferndown Road, Greenhill Road, Mellish Road, Saunton Road, Maple Gardens and Wentworth Road.
