Ed is backing Bob

1 Apr 2015

Ed Gonҫalves, the Liberal Democrats parliamentary candidate for Rugby & Bulkington, has signed up to the RSPB's campaign to protect our natural environment - the "vote for Bob" campaign.

Ed says "I am proud to have 'voted for Bob', and am an enthusiastic supporter of the campaign to preserve the environment. I am concerned about some of the plans for rapid house building in Rugby, and have been asking questions about the potential impact on biodiversity, habitats and ecological corridors, as well as impacts on air pollution levels and the water table".

Ed added "I have worked in environmental conservation and as an environmental campaigner most of my professional life, including for WWF and the RSPB. I also helped set up SOS Lynx, a conservation charity to stop the persecution and habitat destruction of the world's most endangered cat, the Iberian Lynx, and worked with mining companies and landowners to create Europe's largest privately-funded nature reserve, to help the Bonnelli's Eagle".
