Bill Lewis Inspecting Ratliffe Road Footpath

first approached the County Council about the dangerous condition of this footpath in April 2012 after a complaint from a resident.

After many reminders and a number of last minute delays, work on the footpath's reconstruction started on 10 December 2013. Bill visited the site on the following day and found that although the contractor had found soft wet clay conditions he was coping and expected to be complete by the following Tuesday at the latest.

The path is now complete and safe to use as shown in the photograph below. In addition, the combined litter and dog waste bin, which was erected some time ago at Bills request, should allow dog walkers to dispose of their pets' waste hygienically.

Please let Bill Lewis know if you have any views and comments.
