Former Rugby Lib Dems Parliamentary Candidate, Eduardo Goncalves, will be 'sleeping rough' for a night in London on 31 October 2016 for CEO Sleepout to challenge homelessness and poverty. Eduardo stood for Rugby Liberal Democrats at the General Election in May 2015.

CEO Sleepout will see business leaders from across the UK give up their bed to help those who don't have one.

In a message on Eduardo's Just Giving page he said:

"Hi - long before becoming CEO of the League Against Cruel Sports, I worked for a housing association. I also worked in the criminal justice system. I saw time and again how people of all ages - including young people - would fall through the net and end up homeless and penniless. It's depressing to see that, 20 years on, these problems still persist.

So I want to do my small bit to raise awareness of the crisis still facing so many people today. I'm not parachuting out of the sky or running the marathon. I'm going to spend 1 night 'sleeping rough' in London.

I'd like your support. In the morning, I get to go home. Tragically, too many people won't have that choice. I want to raise £1000 to help those people. Thank you.

Eduardo"
