From Green to Blue

27 Nov 2015

At primary school children learn that if you add yellow to blue it turns green.

Now people across Britain are waking up to the realisation that if you take yellow away from green it goes back to being blue.

The Independent rated the coalition government as Britain's greenest ever. Given a free rein in the general election the Conservatives are rapidly abandoning our environment. In his autumn financial statement the Chancellor, George Osborne, has cut investment in energy efficiency schemes.

Cllr Gerald Vernon-Jackson, leader of the Liberal Democrat group on Portsmouth City Council commented that the Chancellor " … has slashed £132 million from schemes for home insulation, cut £700 million from the Renewable Heat Incentive, which supported environmentally friendly heating systems. He has also cut funding for renewable energy".
