Glimmer of common sense on railings

19 Mar 2015

Warwickshire county council appear to be changing their attitude to the removal of the gyratory railings.

At their "Rugby Town West" meeting at the Indian Community Centre last night (18 March 2015) Cllr Peter Butlin (Con, Admirals) suggested the railings could be reinstated.

In the meantime over 300 people have signed the hard copy petition in the Methodist Church and over 50 people have signed the electronic copy of the petition on the county council's website - see https://democratic.warwickshire.gov.uk/cmis5/Petitions/tabid/90/ID/67/Reinstatement-or-guard-railings-along-Russelsheim-Way-Rugby.aspx . Therefore campaigners are over a third of the way to forcing a debate at Shire Hall on this matter.
