Great Central Way - drainage needed

12 Mar 2015

The Great Central Way is part of Rugby's heritage, a wildlife reserve (see Warwickshire Wildlife Trust - http://www.warwickshirewildlifetrust.org.uk/reserves/ashlawn-cutting) and part of the national network of cycle routes promoted by Sustrans ( see Sustrans http://www.sustrans.org.uk/mymile/ncn/map/route/route-41 ).

It is popular with cyclists, dog walkers and bird watchers. Unfortunately at the moment parts of it are close to being impassable due to flooding.

Remedial work on the drainage was part of the Liberal Democrats proposed budget for Rugby Borough Council. Unfortunately this was voted down by the Tories and (most of) the Labour group.
