Gyratory: Stop Whinging Tories tell Residents

3 Apr 2015

It now seems clear that there will be further delays before Warwickshire County Council's £2M remodelling of Rugby's gyratory is complete.

It is not expected that the new traffic lights will start working before 13 April at the earliest.

Delays have occurred as the contractor's asphalt supplier has failed to deliver sufficient material to the site. The conservative-led county council failed to ensure that there were financial penalty clauses for the late supply of building materials and that there were contingency plans for the supply of the materials from alternative sources.

Meanwhile the Tories have been distributing a leaflet in the Overslade and Rokeby ward. Their advice; " ... residents in Rokeby and Overslade just need to remain patient".
