Rugby Liberal Democrats are urging local residents to have their say on an important consultation on the reshaping of services for children and families in Warwickshire.

Currently, there are 39 children's centres in Warwickshire. The County Council want to convert 12 of these centres into new family hubs. In Rugby it is proposed that Claremont and Oakfield will be retained as family hubs, but centres subject to reassessment including alternative options and potential closure are Cawston, Dunchurch, Hillmorton, Newbold and Wolston.

Rugby Liberal Democrats County Councillor and Warwickshire Group Leader Jerry Roodhouse says, "I will be working to ensure Rugby gets a fair deal for family hubs the acid test is to see family support workers increased in the community to help support those in need."
