Highway Matters in Paddox

7 Sep 2013

Your Lib Dem Councillors have been tackling many highway matters. Here are just a few of those we have reported and been informed that orders have been placed to get the repairs carried out.

  • New pavement on Fisher Avenue.
  • Remove 'Dual Carriageway' sign plate on Lower Hillmorton Road.
  • Potholes in Kilsby Lane.
  • Raise/reset eight low road gullies in Balcombe Road.
  • Defect issued to Severn Trent for low manholes in Balcombe Road and Kingsley Avenue.
  • Kingsley Avenue tree root damage on pavement.

We have had a site meeting with the County Council Highways Department about Kingsley Avenue. They have told us that it is a concrete road and to make improvements the whole road would have to be fully reconstructed. That would cost many thousands of pounds and is not possible at present. We are continuing the dialogue with the County Council to find out what alternative action can be taken.
