Increased Liberal Democrat Group looking to the future

16 May 2015

The Liberal Democrat Group met yesterday to work out how they could take forward their campaigns on Rugby Borough Council.

In May's elections the Liberal Democrats increased their numbers to eight at the expense of the Conservatives with the election of Marion Nash in Rokeby & Overslade.

The new composition of Rugby Borough Council is:

Conservative 22

Labour 9

Liberal Democrats 8

Independents 2

Independent Socialists 1

Total 42

This gives the conservatives a majority of two over all the other councillors.
