Jerry Roodhouse calls on County Council to act on loneliness

Liberal Democrats on Warwickshire County Council are proposing the following motion at the County Council on Thursday 21 September 2017.

"That in light of the Director of Public Health's Annual Report 2017, which highlights the impact of loneliness and isolation on people's health and wellbeing, Council asks Cabinet to consider what steps could be taken to reduce social isolation and loneliness including how we work with partners and the voluntary and community sector on targeted initiatives and the role that public transport plays in this context."

There are currently 354 people across the County waiting for OT assessments with the oldest referral being ​ March 2017. Could the Portfolio Holder confirm if this figure is correct? If it is correct does he consider this figure to be acceptable? If not why not and what action does he intend to take over it.
