Lee Chase is running in Admirals and Cawston

16 Apr 2015

The son of an agricultural labourer Lee was born in Boston in Lincolnshire. Educated at a local comprehensive school and discouraged by teaching staff from pursuing his ambitions Lee left school at sixteen and took a YTS job fitting and repairing car radios.

Later Lee returned to education and gained a degree in electronics from the University of York. Lee now works as a software engineer.

Eleven years ago Lee decided that he wanted his growing family to benefit from life in a market town - just as he had when he was growing up - and moved to Rugby. With children in Cawston Grange Primary School and Rugby High School for Girls Lee has direct experience of the local education system.

Lee can often be seen running around the ward. As he sometimes does this barefoot he has a particular interest in keeping the Admirals and Cawston ward clean and litter free.

As a result of his earlier struggles with the education system Lee strongly supports the Liberal Democrat belief that no one should have their aspirations constrained by their social background.
