Lib Dem Pension Freedom: “Your Money, Your Choice”

The Liberal Democrats in government are giving pensioners the freedom to access and control their pensions.
By removing the need to buy annuities people will now have control over the money they have saved in their pension 'pots'.
Cllr Jerry Roodhouse, Rugby Lib Dem Group Leader said:
"It's important that restrictions aren't imposed on people who have made tough choices to save for the future. I am delighted that pensioners will now have freedom over how to spend the money they've saved over many years."
Giving People Freedom Over Their Money
This is on top of the biggest ever pensions' increase which was introduced last year. Pensioners in Rugby are £650 better off since the Lib Dems came into government in 2010.
