Rugby Lib Dems are encouraging local residents to tell Warwickshire's new Police and Crime Commissioner their views on policing and community safety.

The new Police and Crime Commissioner for Warwickshire was elected in May 2016. The Commissioner has launched a public consultation which closes on Friday 26 August 2016.

The consultation is your opportunity to tell the new Commissioner what you think and help shape the next Police and Crime Plan for Warwickshire. The Plan sets out the strategic direction for policing in the county as well as how the Warwickshire Police will work with other partner organisations to reduce crime and improve community safety.

Nicola Davies was the Liberal Democrats candidate for the Warwickshire Police & Crime Commissioner elections earlier this year. Her priorities are to retain front line police numbers and neighbourhood visibility, improving detection and conviction rates. She also wants to create a victims charter.
