New Motorway Service Area at J1, M6 near Rugby

The new Motorway Service Area is under construction at J1, M6 near Rugby.

As the work enters the next phase, in addition to the ongoing traffic management systems, there will be some overnight road closures beginning in mid-August.

The A426 north of the M6 will be closed north and southbound, from the J1 roundabout to the intersection with Coton Road and Arthur James Drive.

It will initially be closed from 8pm to 6am between Monday 10 August and Friday 14 August.

It will be then closed again 8pm to 6am on Monday 17 August and Tuesday 18 August.

Diversion routes will be clearly signposted with roadside signage for traffic going northbound and southbound on the M6, and travelling along the A426 in both directions.
