Nicola Davies calls on PCC candidates to join her & sign the ethical standards checklist
Nicola Davies, has vowed to deliver an 'open, transparent and ethical' approach across the Warwickshire force if elected.
The Committee on Standards in Public Life calls on the next police boss to publish and abide by an ethical code of conduct. It also urges them to enforce a transparent process during the appointment of the chief constable, as well as key staff. Nicola Davies has confirmed she intends to make accessing data and information on the commissioner's website 'easier and more relevant'. She added: "Transparency, confidence and consent are critical factors in effective and efficient policing. "I am willing to openly publish data about my pay and benefits. "I will publish all non-confidential letters between my office and the Home Office, Treasury and local government so that you can see, openly and publicly, how we hold each other to account. "And I will seek to ensure that 'confidentiality' is not used to hide and obscure communications and public information. "I equally believe that Warwickshire residents need to know that appointments I make are the result of choosing the best people for the role. Merit and effectiveness must remain the key requirements. "I call on the other candidates to do the same."
