Overseas aid should be focused on the poorest countries says Ed Gonҫalves

20 Mar 2015

Parliament is now fully signed up to the United Nations target of spending 0.7% of income on international aid. That is a direct result of an initiative by a back bench MP, Liberal Democrat Mike Moore, see http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-31809075 .

Now Ed Gonҫalves has signed the "Just say Yes" pledge. As Rugby's next MP he is committed to seeing that most of the UK's aid goes to the very poorest countries with a focus on ending extreme poverty and preventable disease in Africa.
