Overslade Residents tell Ed Goncalves their concerns about Eric Pickles’ planning policies (13 March)

13 Mar 2015

At the weekend Ed Goncalves had the opportunity to hear first hand about residents' concerns over Eric Pickles planning policies. By refusing to accept the advice of Parliament Eric Pickles is needlessly exposing prime agricultural land to development - see http://rugby.lib.dm/a1RD3.

Rugby has allocated land for six thousand new houses on the radio masts site but might only be able to include a few hundred of these houses in its calculations of its five year land supply.

Ed Goncalves joined with volunteers who were collecting signatures on Cllr Bill Lewis's Ashlawn Road petition. Cllr Lewis is organising this petition in his personal capacity as councillor for Rokeby and Overslade.

Over 800 people have now signed Cllr Lewis's petition.
