Parties now rally behind town centre

24 Feb 2015

After the Liberal Democrats unveiled their plans to invest £100,000 in Rugby's town centre at the weekend - see http://rugby.lib.dm/a5Tbd - all the political parties on Rugby Borough Council put forward investment plans at tonight's Council meeting (Tuesday, 24 February).

First up were the Labour party who came in with a bargain basement £50,000 scheme and then the conservatives decided to go one better than the Liberal Democrat scheme and proposed a £150,000 investment.

The conservatives used their majority on the Council to vote through their plans.
