The planning application was passed by the committee with Liberal Democrat Councillors not supporting it as they still had concerns over highway matters.
Jerry Roodhouse said, "The application does have further planning conditions added including a new light controlled pedestrian crossing for Ashlawn road also further resources for enhancing the area. We are still concerned over the extra pressure that this will put onto the area and will continue to press for changes."
