Rugby First Board Member doesn’t trust their own figures

19 Aug 2015

There was a strange intervention from Cllr Heather Timms (Revel & Binley Woods, Con) during the discussion about abandoning measuring the number of empty shops in Rugby Town Centre yesterday evening (18 August 2015) - see http://rugby.lib.dm/a4ZRl .

As well as dropping measuring the number of empty shops the conservatives proposed dropping measuring the annual sales increase in Rugby Shops. Are they expecting a fall under their stewardship? Speaking as a member of the board of Rugby First Cllr Timms said of the sales figures "I am not going to say it was wrong … [but] it was out of sync [with my expectations] … the January figures showed an increase when I would have expected a fall after the Christmas sales".
