Rugby Lib Dems host Hope4 for talk on homelessness
Rugby Liberal Democrats invite members of the public to join them for the local party's Politics and a Pint evening, where Hope4 will give a talk about the homeless charity's work, on Thursday 16 November from 7:30pm at the Raglan Arms on Dunchurch Road.
Hope4 is a local charity for helping homeless and badly-housed people in Rugby. The charity provides practical support for homeless people, such as help to find jobs and accommodation, sign-posting to other agencies, IT facilities for job-hunting, advice, help with benefit claims and job applications, food, showers, laundry facilities and beds for rough-sleepers in the winter.
Hope4 is urgently asking for donations of sleeping bags, tents, rucksacks, sleeping mats and camp beds. Donations can be taken to the Hope Centre on Newbold Road during opening hours or telephone the Hope Centre on 01788 572456 to arrange collection.
Commenting, event organiser and local campaigner, Craig McQueen, said:
"Everyone is welcome to come along and find out about the important work Hope4 do supporting the homeless community in Rugby. You'll also get the chance to talk to local councillors and discuss the events of the day."
