Rugby’s Tories miss rates collection figure by £675,000

26 Jun 2015

Figures due to be considered by the Council's all-tory cabinet on Monday show that last year the Tories missed their business rate collection budget by £675,000 last year (2014-15).

The reasons for their failure are not given in the report but may be partially due to successful appeals against business rate valuations.

Will any member of the cabinet be held to account for this failure? We will wait and see on Monday.
