Sam Edwards to stand in Wolvey & Shilton by-election
Sam Edwards will stand for the Liberal Democrats in the Wolvey and Shilton by-election scheduled to take place on Thursday 24 June 2021.
Sam is 36, lives in Rugby, and is married to Victoria. He is a member of the Liberal Democrats and wants a Fairer, Caring, Greener council.
Sam has previously worked in community development promoting equality and fairness for different communities, and within the voluntary sector. Sam is committed to local and sustainable development within communities and is aware of the unique problems rural villages have.
Sam is keen to be a listening ear for the people of Shilton and Wolvey, and will do his best to ensure the character of the villages is upheld pending any future housing developments. Sam will address local issues such as traffic flow and parking, broadband infrastructure, retention of local amenities, and will champion the cause of local commerce and employment.
Sam will work to protect and care for Wolvey and Shilton's wildlife habitats and historical sites. Sam will also encourage adequate and affordable social housing provision within the ward.
