Special community forum for households who have been at risk from recent flash flooding - Thursday 14 July 2016
A special community forum for households who have been at risk from recent flash flooding will take place on Thursday 14 July 2016 at Rainsbrook Conference Centre (Rugby Town Junior FC) - Kilsby Lane, Rugby, CV21 4PN.
The event has been arranged by Warwickshire County Council with representatives from Severn Trent, the Environment Agency, Coventry, Solihull & Warwickshire Resilience Team and National Flood Forum who will be attending.
There will be a drop in session from 6pm - 6:45pm and presentations from 7pm - 8pm. The event is primarily focused on rural areas but people from the town are also welcome.
Rugby Lib Dem Councillors have recently worked with Warwickshire County Council and Severn Trent to help residents in the wards we represent who were affected by flash flooding in June. We have made sure that gullies and sewers have been cleaned and cleared to prevent flooding from happening again.
It's important that Warwickshire County Council and Severn Trent collaborate because they have joint responsibility in this area and we are pleased that they are hosting a community forum to look at ways to help improve where people live.
The event is free to attend and further details can be found here:
