Tory threat to ospreys, swallows and nightingales

12 May 2015

Environmental concerns run across national boundaries. Air pollution, climate change and over-fishing are issues that cross borders.

Migrating birds such as ospreys, swallows and nightingales brighten British summers.

Many of these species depend not only on protection in Britain but also in other European countries [and in the case ospreys beyond Europe as well].

The European Union has established laws which protect bird habitats across the continent. These laws are now under threat. With an anti-European all-Tory cabinet we can no longer expect our government to stand up for nature in Brussels.

So don't leave it to the Tories. Support the RSPB's campaign to protect the habitats our summer visitors need http://www.rspb.org.uk/joinandhelp/campaignwithus/defendnature/ .
