Transparency needed as Rugby Town Centre Strategy on the horizon
Rugby Liberal Democrat Councillors are asking for transparency and accountability as the Town Centre Strategy looks set for adoption.
The Conservative led Cabinet will meet on Monday 5 December at the Town Hall. The long awaited Town Centre Strategy is on the agenda. The reccomendation is to send it through to full Council for it to be adopted.
It has cost the taxpayers of this Borough thousands of pounds with talks about a Police station in North Street.
The strategy also proposes to move the Benn Hall to the Art Gallery and Museum or turn it into offices.
There are ideas to introduce traffic lights at the Corporation Street / Newbold roundabout.
