Warwickshire County Council object to Ridgeway Farm development proposal
Warwickshire County Council highways department have objected to the Ridgeway Farm development proposal off Ashlawn Road. Details of this scheme (not to be confused with Ashlawn Road West) can be found here http://rugbylibdems.org.uk/en/article/2014/859159/another-proposed-development-off-ashlawn-road .
The County Council have three main objections to the proposal. These are:
- 1. They don't like the traffic modelling work which has been done by the developers.
- 2. They believe the development will have an adverse effect on "The Paddox" junction.
- 3. They believe access to the new development should be off the Ashlawn Road/Fareham Avenue roundabout.
The county council's objection is likely to result in a delay in the scheme coming to Rugby Borough Council's planning committee. Whilst waiting for a decision the developers may change their plans and the county council may withdraw their objection. In the meantime local residents can continue to comment on the scheme.
